Converse brand shoes have been around since 1908. This century-old brand was founded by Marquis Converse, in Massachusetts, United States. He opened the Converse Rubber Shoe Company that provided winterized rubber-soled shoes for all ages. In 1921 a basketball star, Chuck Taylor, walked into Converse saying his feet hurt, he then started working for Converse and eventually led to his signature across the “ALL STAR” logo. Converse is mainly known as basketball shoes; however, men, women, and children wear them for a variety of sports and fashion.
In the late 1980’s and early 90’s, Converse all Stars started making the mark on fashion with florescent shoes. They came in a variety of color the standard canvas high top was made even higher with inside of yellow or orange and outside of pink or blue. The tops were folded down so both colors could be seen.
